An intermittent green blinking light indicates that the Roku remote is stuck in pairing mode. This can be easily fixed.

You’d be surprised how frequently incorrect battery placement or new batteries is to blame for your problems. I know this seems obvious, but it surprises me every time.

Turn off the Roku device

Compared to the original step above, this one has been slightly modified. Ensure the TV is on while performing all steps below.

Your remote’s batteries need to be removed first.

Turn off your Roku after that. Roku devices might need to be unplugged from their power supply depending on the version you have, or removed from their backs.

Replace your Roku remote batteries while the device is powerless, making sure that the positive charge goes with the positive side, and the negative charge goes with the negative side.

The remote should be blinking green at this point.

Pair remote from settings
