How To Reset A Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine

About a year ago, I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer. However, a wash cycle gets stuck in a constant loop of wash cycles going on and on. Immediately following the spin cycle, the washer would begin to soak the clothes and then repeat the entire wash cycle. Then, I had to turn off the washer to stop this. Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washers must be reset differently than many other types and brands of washers. Here’s how to RESET your Cabrio Platinum washer (for all Whirlpool Cabrio models). Moreover, follow the steps below to reset your washer and get it working again. However, with this procedure, all Whirlpool Cabrio Washers starting with model number WTW can be reset.

 

How To Reset Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer:

 

1. Turn off the washer.
2. Select NORMAL on the mode selector dial.
3. The dial should be turned counterclockwise ONE click (LEFT), clockwise THREE clicks (RIGHT), counterclockwise ONE click (LEFT), then clockwise ONE click (RIGHT).
4. Press the start button.
5. The cycle indicating lights should all be illuminated.
6. Click the Start-Stop button once.
7. Rotate the dial until the Rinse, Wash, and Stop lights illuminate.
8. Unplug the washer for 10 seconds and turn it off.
9. The washer should now be reset after you turn it on.
10. Make sure the reset worked by running a test load empty. If not, repeat the reset procedure.

1. Press any button on the display pad to clear the error code or press “Pause Cancel.”
2. Select another cycle and press “Start.”

5. Select a new cycle and click “Start.”
