How to program Uverse S20 and S30 Remote control

The process of programming the S20 and S30 remote controls are the same. The only difference is that, for the S30 remote, all the keys have backlight while for S20, just some keys have the same. You can use this method to program any gadget. But we use programming a TV as an example.

Step 1. Ensure that you turn on the TV you want to program.

Step 2. Check the battery box at the back of your Uverse remote to ensure you remove the battery stripe. Without removing it, your remote won’t work.

Step 3. Press and hold the Menu and Ok buttons for several seconds until the LED light on the power button flashes.

Step 4. Press the ‘On-Demand’ key on the top left side of your remote.

Step 5. Press and hold the ‘FF key. Your remote will start going through the codes programmed into it to find the correct code for your TV. You may have to give it several minutes to find the correct code.

Step 6. The TV will automatically turn off once the remote finds the correct code. Release the ‘Fast forward’ key at this point.

Step 7. Press the ‘Power’ button to turn on your TV.

Step 8. Finally, press any of the function keys on your remote. If it works, Viola, you have programmed your remote successfully. If not, repeat the step.

There are two methods you can use to program your Uverse S10 remote. The manual method and the code search method.

How to program Uverse S10 Remote Control (Manual Code Input Method)

Step 1. Go through this other post and grab the code for your device.

Step 2. Ensure you turn on the TV or gadget you want to program. Also, hold your Uverse remote close to your TV.

Step 3. Press and hold the ‘Component button ‘and ‘OK’ buttons. The Component button for your Television is TV, DVD for your DVD player, and AUX for your Sound gadgets.

Step 4. Enter the 4 digits codes you got earlier using the number buttons on your remote. Once you get the correct code, the component button will flash.

Step 5. Press the ‘Power’ button to turn off your TV. If your TV or device doesn’t turn off, then you need to try another code until you get the correct one.

Step 6. Press the ‘Power’ button again to turn on your TV.

Step 1. Ensure you turn on the TV or gadget you want to program. Also, hold your Uverse remote close to your TV.

Step 2. Press and hold the ‘Component button ‘and ‘Enter’ buttons. The Component button for your Television is TV, DVD for your DVD player, and AUX for your Sound gadgets.
