Fortunately, this is usually only a temporary problem, and there are several proven fixes for the Insignia TV black screen.

It’s a good idea to try each and every one of these solutions to resolve the black screen problem on your Insignia TV if you would like to see if one works for you.

Are there any fixes that can be implemented for the black screen issue on an Insignia TV?

Using this method will allow the TV to soft reset and eliminate any residual power. Using the remote is different from simply turning it on and off!

In the event that you plug the TV back in after one minute, it should start working again.

Make sure all HDMI connections are working

Buying a replacement screen is usually not worth the cost if the whole panel is broken. It is usually cheaper to repair a TV panel than to purchase a new one. Unless a TV panel is damaged physically, it is rare for it to break.

LED backlight strip replacement for Insignia

LED lights are used in the backlights of TVs as a source of illumination. It is possible for the entire strip to malfunction if a light in the strip is broken.

It may be easier to replace an entire strip rather than a single malfunctioning LED light. Your TV model can be ordered online with backlight LED strips. 

Due to the large number of screws and the disassembly of the bezels, changing the LED backlight strips is quite a hassle.

Since the glass panel is fragile, it must also be removed since replacement is very expensive.

It is only worth replacing LED backlight strips if you are familiar with TV disassembly.

Insignia technicians or TV repair stores can do the job for you if you don’t want to do it yourself. 

Replacement of LED backlight strips usually costs between $100 and $200, depending on the number of strips you need. Depending on the TV’s size, some will have more LED backlight strips than others. 

You can fix the black screen of death on your Insignia TV by replacing the LED backlight strips yourself, which could save you hundreds of dollars.

This is also a good option if your TV only shows a picture on one side, or if your screen is very dim.

There is a need to replace the T-CON board on Insignia TV

Even with a bright light shining directly on the screen, you might not see any image on your Insignia TV due to a broken T-CON board.

Image creation on a TV is the responsibility of the T-CON board. 

A TV’s T-CON board can be changed in a few simple steps, despite how daunting it may seem at first.

By browsing online marketplaces such as eBay or Amazon for your television’s model number, you can find replacement T-CON boards. It is not very expensive to buy T-CON boards, usually under $100. 

A T-CON board can be replaced much more easily than a LED backlight on a TV. Taking off the rear panel, disconnecting the ribbon cables on the T-CON board, removing the screws, and popping out the new one are all you need to do. 

A few screws and two to three ribbon cables are all that is required to connect most panels in just a few minutes.
